5:30PM-6:30PM, Demo session
Philly Tech Week is a week-long celebration of technology and innovation in Philadelphia. The annual week of events is intended to grow the impact of this innovative region through programming focused on technology, collaboration and improving Philadelphia. Adam will be participating in this event showcasing many of Philadelphia’s electronic artists, including Gemini Wolf, Gene Coleman, Joo Won Park, Mauri Walton, Megan Bridge & Peter Price, Rolf Lakaemper, and Sam Cusumano. The first portion of this event will involve a demonstration, followed by a performance of these artists work. Adam will perform his experimental electroacoustic works for found percussion items, DIY electronics, and laptop computer. These compositions focus on the varying degrees between planned and improvisational interaction as humans and machines collaborate to create music. Adam will be performing on the Tapbox DSP, an electronic percussion instrument he designed and developed, as well as Mitochondrial Dreams, music for found percussion objects and electronics.
