The Boyer Electroacoustic Ensemble Project (BEEP) will join Vidiksis in performing his works synapse_circuit II and Things That Live in the Whirligig for percussion, live processing, and electronic ensemble at the the 2016 New Music Gathering. Additionally, Vidiksis will speak as a panelist on a discussion about the changing role of digital technology in music.
New Music Gathering is a three day event combining concerts, discussions, and presentations about the world of new music, or, more specifically, people creating new music based roughly in the classical music tradition. It’s happening at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, January 7-9, 2016.
