BIO

Born in NYC, Adam is a composer, conductor, and percussionist living in the Philadelphia area. Presently, he is studying for a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in music composition at Temple University. He is currently studying composition with Dr. Cynthia Folio.

Recently, Adam was an Adjunct Lecturer and Affiliate Artist at Drew University in Madison, NJ, where he conducted the Drew University Wind Ensemble. He was also the Assistant Director of Bands at Monsignor Farrell High School, where he worked with the concert, marching and jazz bands.

In 2002, he co-founded the Holy Rosary Theater Group, along with Laurel Fulcher. Since then, HRTG has grown to become an important part of the lives of the youth of South Beach, Staten Island and Holy Rosary Parish.

Adam received his Master's in music composition at NYU, where he studied composition with Marc-Antonio Consoli and conducting with Dinu Ghezzo. He is an alumnus of Msgr. Farrell High School and received a Bachelors of Arts in Music from Drew University. There he studied composition, conducting, and orchestral percussion. His original compositions have been performed both in the United States and abroad.

He has given music instruction at many schools, including Drew University, Msgr. Farrell High School, Holy Rosary School, St. John Villa Elementary, Tottenville, John Dickenson, Chatham and Susan Wagner High Schools.

As a percussionist, he has performed with many groups in the NY/NJ area including the Uptown Flutes, New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble, Summit Chorale Orchestra, and NYU Percussion Ensemble.

Adam is a member of ASCAP, American Composers Forum, Society of Composers, Inc., and the College Music Society. He is actively involved as the Program Coordinator of conTemplum, an organization dedicated to the creation, performance, and discussion of new music at Temple University. He is currently the conductor of the Tyler-Boyer Collaboration ensemble and Assistant Conductor of the Temple Composers Orchestra.
